Travel to Bad Ischl

If you are arriving in VIENNA there is a regular train service from Vienna airport to Bad Ischl (travelling time 3,5 hrs). Tickets and train schedule see www.oebb.at. Regular ticket price € 54,90 one way / discount tickets available online max. 6 months before arrival ("Sparschiene").

If you are arriving in SALZBURG, there are regular buses (Bus nr. 2) from Salzburg airport to Salzburg main train station (https://www.salzburg-airport.com/en/flights-arrival/arrival-to-the-airport/public-transportation ). You can then take Bus nr. 150 to Bad Ischl (https://salzburg-verkehr.at/downloads/regionalbus-150-salzburg-koppl-hof-fuschl-st-gilgen-strobl-bad-ischl/ ). The bus departures every 30 minutes and the trip takes 1h 30 minutes.

Shuttle services are available through private companies from Salzburg airport and train station to Bad Ischl.

If you are arriving in MUNICH, there are regular trains from Munich airport (https://www.munich-airport.com/public-transport-260822) to Munich main train station (https://www.bahnhof.de/en/muenchen-hbf ). You can then take a train to Salzburg (1h 30 minutes) and in Salzburg a bus number 150 to Bad Ischl (https://salzburg-verkehr.at/downloads/regionalbus-150-salzburg-koppl-hof-fuschl-st-gilgen-strobl-bad-ischl/ ). The bus departures every 30 minute and the trip takes 1h 30 minutes. You could also consider booking a shuttle service from Munich airport to Bad Ischl via SMS transport service www.mietwagenservice.at (privat transfer for approx. € 700 for a return trip).
